Italian restaurant at Raffles the Palm Hotel.

A trendy place for an aperitif is chilled prosecco with ice, Negroni and Aperol. Well-trained staff, tranquil views of the beach and the “branches” of the Palm Jumeirah, the atmosphere of southern Italy in every detail — the design in all shades of white, offset by splashes of azure and ocher, is inspired by memories of Positano, a picturesque village on the Amalfi Coast. Cascades of pink bougainvillea enhance the impression.

In charge of the kitchen is chef Batuhan Piatti, star of the TV show Hayat Batuhan'a Güzel (Life is Beautiful for Batuhan). He is not afraid to experiment, adding a bold twist to traditional recipes: burrata with cherry tomatoes is accompanied by fried Mediterranean mussels, he puts together an Insalata Amalfi salad with mazar shrimp, Taghiasca olives, avocado and tomatoes, he makes sea bass ceviche and king crab tacos. People come here for his decadent Norcia Black Truffle pizza and homemade strozzapreti with veal and cream, while the tender sea bass in salt will feed at least two.

A separate room is dedicated to cakes, pastries, tartlets and other dolce.
